Casey Chow

Yang-Wai Chow received his PhD in computer science from Monash University, Australia. He is currently a Professor at the School of Computing and Information Technology, University of Wollongong, Australia, and is a member of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Cryptology.

He served as the Deputy Head (Education) of the School of Computing and Information Technology (2019-2025) and the Academic Program Director for the Bachelor of Computer Science (2015-2025). In 2024, he received the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Strategy Award and the Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning (OCTAL) Academic Award for the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences.

His main research interests include virtual reality, multimedia security and cybersecurity. His work has been published at various international conferences and journals, and he serves as a reviewer for several internationally renowned conferences and journals.
