Casey Chow
Yang-Wai (Casey) Chow received his PhD in computer science from Monash University, Australia. He is currently a Professor in the School of Computing and Information Technology at the University of Wollongong (UOW), Australia, and a member of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Cryptology (iC2).
He served as Deputy Head (Education) of the School of Computing and Information Technology (2019-2025) and as Academic Program Director for the Bachelor of Computer Science and UOW's computing program in partnership with the Singapore Institute of Management (2015-2025). In 2024, he received the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Strategy Award and the Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning (OCTAL) Academic Award for the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences.
His main research interests include virtual reality, multimedia security and cybersecurity. His work has been published in various international conferences and journals. In addition to his research activities, he actively contributes to the academic community by serving on the program committees and editorial boards of various international conferences and journals.
